Hello dearies! If you're a long-time follower of this blog, I'm sure you've seen me sport different hair colors in the past years. Some were colored in salons while most were done at home. I'm a fan of bubble hair color since time immemorial. I've tried around four brands in the past and only one became my default DIY bubble color hair dye brand.
Fast forward today, I stumbled upon another brand that I consider a new HG (Holy Grail) after using it last December. Fun fact: I bought that brand around August 2020 but decided to use it only last month because I was too lazy to freshen the color of my hair since I'm just always at home. I suddenly realized that my birthday will be less than a month and that made me decide to color my hair so it will look good in the photos. So without further ado, here's my review of Mise en Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color x Black Pink that I bought from Glow & Hale for P375 per box.
Product Review: Mise en Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color x Black Ash Khaki Brown (7K) and Pink Primer (Pre-Color) |
"Black Pink in your area!" Channeling my inner Rosé in Mise En Scene Hello Bubble x Black Pink. Here’s the color after 15 days of application, sporting Ash Khaki Brown (7k)- a greenish-gold brown color that’s flattering on fair, medium, and brown skin tone. In order to achieve this color, I used a pre-color or primer from the same brand.

The color results may also vary and will still depend on your hair color level and lighting conditions. Hair is smooth and glowing even if I did a mild bleach from the same brand called Mise en Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color x Black Pink Pre-Color (primer) on the same day of application. I super love the outcome even though you won't get the exact same color on the box. I'm a fan of ash when it comes to hair dye and my previous colors made my hair color lighter.

3. Finishing Up
- Shampoo with lukewarm water until the water becomes clear. Give your hair a gentle massage using Mise en Scene Hair Pack before rinsing well with lukewarm water.
- Blow-drying colored hair on the first day can help preserve the color longer. After finishing dying, discard the remaining solution in running water. Lightly rinse the container before discarding it in the designated recycling bin.

What I like:
- Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color is packaged in a sturdy box, items inside are complete upon purchase. It's an all-in-one DIY Hair Coloring Kit that you can use anytime at the comfort of your home.
- The colors from this collaboration with Black Pink are pretty. There are so many to choose from and as of this writing, there are 15 shades available. There are bright, bold, and fun colors to boot!
- It's affordable.
- I always prefer using bubble foam color at home because it's easy to apply.
- I like that Mise En Scene's formula is safe because it's ammonia-free and non-drying.
- The hair pack/treatment comes with it makes hair soft and smooth after coloring.
- I only need a box for my waist-length hair.
- My hair feels really soft, smooth, and shiny after coloring.
- It's easy to maintain, no need for special shampoo, conditioner, and treatment.
- The expiry date is printed on the bottom right side of the box.
What I don't like:
- Not locally available.
- Can be purchased thru pre-order via Shopee.
- Not advisable if you have black or dark brown hair as you will not achieve the desired color. You will need a primer to lighten your hair first but no assurance if you have virgin/thick hair strands.
Will I repurchase: YES!!!
Recommendation:
I give this a 4.75/5 rating. I love the color and the texture of my hair after using the pre-color and ash khaki brown on the same day. At first, I was hesitant because my hair is thin and limp. It will be very taxing for my hair to undergo two coloring sessions in one sitting knowing that one of the procedures is some kind of bleaching.
Since my previous hair color is already light, the new color has been easily absorbed. If you want to sport a light hair color, I suggest you make your hair as light as possible by dyeing it regularly (every two months) then color it with your preferred color. If harsh bleaching is not your thing, then use Mise en Scene Primer first like what I did.
Have you tried using bubble hair color at home? What's your favorite brand?
Good Times!~

ReplyDeleteLove your hair color po ms. Kath. Gusto ko rin po ng ibang color na hindi madalas makita sa iba. Love this to try po.
ReplyDeleteAng ganda po ng color ms. Kath, affordable without leaving your hair dry and ang daming pagpipiliang colors..love it,
ReplyDeleteUseful review and love the outcome. I already purchased one primer and Sahara red and I'm a little sceptical since the last time I colored my hair was four years ago. My hair is shoulder length, is one primer enough or should I purchased another box?
ReplyDeleteIto talagang review mo sis ang reason why I tried Mise en Scene Hello Bubble eh. I used the Primer na, pero parang gusto ko pang 1 round ng primer pa uli kasi parang di pa na-achieve yung lightness na gusto ko before I use the Twinkle Blue color I purchased. Going for another round once I get my package. Good to know na safe naman pala to apply another round kahit na same day.
ReplyDeleteHello, safe po ba for rebonded hair yung hair primer?
