Say Thank You to Your Unsung Hero, the Unilab Way!

I believe that there's goodness in everyone. It doesn't matter if the act is big or small. I believe that there's a "hero" in each and every one of us. No need to suffer pain or death just to be recognized. In our family, I consider my parents as my unsung heroes. Both of them wasn't able to go to college. They've just finished their secondary level from  a public school. When they got married, my father's mom gave them a small investment so that they can sustain the needs of their growing family.

     It was a roller coaster ride for my parents. The ups and downs of having a small scale business. We have a small bake shop and a sari-sari store before that prospered and have several branches. These was the bread and butter of the family. Our bakery business gave us a good life indeed. We were blessed in terms of material things. But when my father acquired diabetes and kidney disease, our bakery and sari-sari store needs to be shut down as we cannot maintain it anymore because of hospital bills, medications, and dialysis treatment. But my parents are really the unsung heroes for us. Even though my father is sick with stage 5 renal disease, he is still thinking of our future instead of just staying at home and enjoying his life. 

     He always tell us that even though we don't have that kind of resources that we have before, he will still strive hard to bring back the things we lost because of his battle to chronic kidney disease. My mother on the other hand is doing her best to take good care of my father and my nieces and nephews. Instead of going out with friends and relax or unwind, she is dedicating her time in doing household chores and attending to the needs of my father. Their HUSAY at MALASAKIT have helped me succeed in the life that I wanted to be. My UNSUNG HEROES- my parents!
