It's nice to see how Cosmo Skin upgraded their beauty and skin care products. Some five years ago they just started from one variant of soap and two kinds of skin care supplements. I've tried their whitening soap (Cosmo Skin Glutathione and Arbutin Soap) before venturing into organic ones. I can say it's cost effective and if you're really serious in making your skin lighter, then Cosmo Skin is for you. I'm fair skinned to begin with but using the soap that I've mentioned above made my fair skin more even toned and smoother. If you'll ask me why I stopped using the soap, then my hormones got to be blamed and organic skin care soaps became my life saver. Switching to natural skin care products doesn't mean that it'll give you good results forever. Like in my case, there were times that my skin got immune to my favorite organic brands too. What I do is to alternate all my HG soaps and when there's a new brand to try, I take time to read the labels and dare to use it without a doubt. If I see a negative reaction after three uses, I stop using it.
Remember my post about the Cosmo Skin bfpc The Beauty Event? If not click HERE. I was very privilege to attend that event because it rekindles my love for Cosmo Skin. They we're very generous to give the media a token of skin care products and supplements. This soap was included inside the paper bag full of wonderful products. I've been using four of them as of the moment. I already reviewed their Collagen Hand and Body Cream HERE and boy, it's very effective! So without further ado, here's another product from Cosmo Skin. Cosmo Skin Exfoliant Soap |
COSMO Skin Exfoliant Soap Big soap that will last for more than a month of use. |
COSMO Skin Exfoliant Soap See the brown spots all over the soap? That's the oat fiber exfoliator. |
size: 150g
price: 99 php (Around $2.00+)
place bought: Free
Available at Watson's Health and Beauty Store nationwide
instructions for use: Gently rub the soap on wet face and body, rinse well. For best results use morning and night.
ingredients: Coconut Oil, Purified Water, Caustic Soda, Palm Oil, Chelate of Oat Fiber, Glycerine, Lactic Acid, Perfume, EDTA, Sodium Chloride, BHT, Olea Europea (Olive Fruit Oil), Vitamin B3.
What I Like:
- It's affordable.
- The scent is not overpowering.
- Easily accessible.
- Doesn't melt fast.
- The soap is big in size and lasted me for more than 1 month.
- Produces a rich and thick lather.
- My skin feels squeaky clean after use.
- It exfoliates my skin very well.
- Gives my skin a beautiful glow and I attribute this to the olive oil in it.
- The exfoliant in this soap is very gentle so if you have a sensitive skin and you want to exfoliate then this soap is for you.
- Easily accessible.
- Batch, manufacturing and expiry date is printed on the box.
What I don't like:
- Even though the soap contains whitening ingredients, I didn't notice any whitening effects on my skin.
Will I purchase? Yes but other variants of the soap like the new variants: Collagen and Papaya, Kojic and Alpha Arbutin which looks promising.
Recommendation:
I give this a 4/5 rating. I like that it's 2 in 1 product. I have a soap and exfoliant in one. It saves me time and money too. It contains whitening ingredients but honestly speaking I didn't see any whitening or lightening effect. If you want to have a squeaky clean and glowing skin, I suggest you try this.
