Nailaholics Gateway #HamptonsParty Bloggers Event

     Two weeks ago, I received an email from Mr. Ogie Rodriguez- PR Manager for Nailaholics Nail Salon and Spa. I can't believe what I saw that time and repeatedly read the event invitation. I was very surprised when someone from one of the country's most sought after nail salon and spa invited me to the opening of their 41st branch at Gateway Mall Cubao. Don't get me wrong why I'm so happy when I received an invite from this kind of event. First, I rarely just once posted a NOTD/ Nail of the Day entry. Second, I haven't posted any random nail salon or spa session that I had in my entire blogging stint and lastly, I think I haven't published a haul post showcasing  a bottle or two of the nail polishes that I bought. So forgive me if I dance out of joy because of this invitation.

     Before I start to muse my experience during the pampering sesh at the newly opened Gateway branch, let me tell you that I often go to nail salons. I always schedule the buffing and cleaning of my toe nails every two or three weeks. I always choose bold color as polish for my toe nails. On the other hand, my finger nails stay the same. Plain and simple no polish at all. I just cut it at home and that's it. I always say that it's a waste to apply nail polish because at the end of the day it will just chip from bottle cleaning and doing house hold chores. I don't go to the same Nail Salon because of some pros and cons. Sometimes the chosen place is already full, my name is on waiting list or simply it's closing time. Hahaha! But if the place offers good service, competitive price and relaxing ambiance, there's a reason why one should call for appointment or list his/her name on the waiting list. Now that I've said my nail routine, it's time to share why from now on Nailaholics Nail Salon and Spa will be my first option in choosing a place to relax and pamper mg footsies. Wanna know why?      When I entered the newly opened Nailaholics at Gateway Cubao, I already sensed relaxation  to the fullest. Cozy interior and good color combination that's very pleasing to the eyes. Makes me wanna go on a long vacation relaxation mode!

     Since this is a bloggers event, they made us feel what #HamptonsParty feel like. Look at the setting of this table with delicious pastry and finger foods. Nomnoms!

     This name card waiting on my seat made my day really especial. I have a thing for name tags that has romantic font and cutesy images. It only shows how they treat their customers :)

     After a short introduction of the services that Nailaholics offer to their customers, I decided to have Palm Beach Pedicure, Serene Island Manicure and Pueblo Bonito Calming Foot Therapy that is good for stressed legs and feet. 

     For the Palm Beach Pedicure, my feet was soaked in a tub filled with warm water then after 10 minutes they're ready for cleaning and buffing. I like how the attendant carefully scrub the calluses on my feet. She even asked me from time to time if the pressure cause by rubbing is okay. Next, she asked me to choose my polish colors. They have wide selection of colors from high brands like Orly, China Glaze, Essie and some from Color Club and BNC. I choose three bold colors from Orly: Royal Navy (Blue), Velvet Rope (Metallic Violet) and Down Right Red (Red). I love these three but I only have to choose one. The nail attendant was very suggestive and recommended me to try the Korean trend in nail polish. Just scroll down and see the picture. So after choosing my nail polish color which were Velvet Rope and Down Right Red, she already finished scrubbing my calluses and will scrub my entire legs with sea salt scrub in lemongrass scent. I can feel dead skin cells being exfoliated and made my skin very soft and smooth. The last part of my foot pampering session was the Pueblo Bonito Foot Calming Therapy which was so relaxing. I can really feel the soothing massage from leg to foot.

     Another service that I enjoyed was the Serene Island Manicure. I was amazed with the small tub where I placed my hands. That was the first time I saw a small tub to soak the hand before the manicure starts. Followed by cleaning which I think was good because the nail attendant asked if I have thin skin, obviously she already sensed that she has to be very careful in cutting the cuticles of my finger nails or else she'll cut the skin surrounding it and may cause bleeding. The most exciting part of my manicure sesh was the nail polish application. I fell in love with the color of this Orly French Manicure polish in Silk Stockings. Cute color name eh? I also dubbed it as My-Nails-But-Better (MNBB) because the color is not too light not too dark pale pink color.
